Tormey pitches no-hitterPublished: June 24, 2009 Submitted by Larry Proffitt On Friday night June 19 Goochland’s Kyle Tormey pitched a no-hitter against Buckingham at Gene Dixon Sr. Park in Dillwyn. Tormey, pitching for the GYAA Dixie Majors 17-19 yr olds baseball team, struck out five batters. Goochland defeated Buckingham 11-0. Buckingham’s only base-runner came in the fourth inning, when Tormey hit a batter with a pitch. |
