Salem Christian splits games

On Tuesday, Jan. 10 the Salem Christian girls varsity basketball team traveled to Victory Christian Academy to take on the Knights.
It was a close game through three quarters until Salem pulled away with superior interior play in the fourth and secured a 43-29 victory.
The win improved the Saints record to 8-1 while the Knights fell to 2-3.
Katherine Barth led the team with a game high 26 points and Courtney Richardson added nine.
On Thursday, Salem Christian visited Central Virginia Homeschool in a fight for second place in the VCAA.
Central broke open a close game in the third quarter, eventually winning the game 41-26.
Barth once again led the Saints with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Richardson played a strong defensive game scoring 10 points as well.
This week Salem travels to The Carmel School for a 5 p.m. Friday match-up.
