I spent part of this Labor Day reading about the Triangle Shirtwaist Company, a business that stood in New York City nearly 100 years ago
“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats,” said H. L. Mencken
The world is constantly changing, say some in the county, and we should adapt. Churches, schools and businesses should be able to take advantage of new technologies, in this case signs that light up and scroll messages and can be programmed with the tap of a few keys.
Being proactive can be a lot more satisfying than one more afternoon spent aimlessly sipping lemonade and dealing out another round of solitaire.
