Congratulations to the Richmond Kickers North U12 Girls ADSL team, PSV, who were victorious in last weekend’s Columbus Day tournament. The team is in its inaugural season and played against teams from North Carolina, Northern Virginia and Roanoke who have been playing together for several years. The team swept the tournament in their division with a 4-0 record. Congratulations to team PSV for a job well done! -submitted by Christy Mason

Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services Executive Director Sally Graham, far right, led the dedication last Wednesday of the group’s new emergency shelter on its east campus. An enthusiastic crowd saluted Byrd Presbyterian Church and Rev. Jock O’Connell and Knight Bowles, who, for spearheading the project and making it a reality, received a plaque naming the shelter “The Knight Owl.” Above at left, from left, are O’Connell, Beth Moore, Bowles, and Graham.
