Michael Lee Wade, 55, of Rockville, formerly of Martinsville, passed away at his home early Saturday morning after a long illness. He was under the tender and loving care of Medi Home Health and Hospice nurses and staff. His wife, Ann Speight Wade, was by his side. He was predeceased by his father, Elmer Wilfred Wade, and is survived by his mother, Ernestine Campbell Wade; his siblings, Gerald R. Wade of Lynchburg, Diana Wade Nester (Roger) of Ford, Roy Ronald Wade (Jane) of Henry, Elmer W. Wade Jr. of Hanover, and Mary Jane Wade of Petersburg; numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. The family will receive friends at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Wednesday, March 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Medi Home Health and Hospice, or to a hospice program of your choice.
