Deacon Joseph William Thornton Sr., of Goochland, Va., formerly of Bayside, Queens, New York, died on December 23, 2006 and was of the Baptist faith. Services were held at Fauquier Baptist Church, 2455 Dogtown Road, Goochland, Virginia, on Saturday, December 30, 2006. Interment was in Church Cemetery.
