Margaret Alvis Nicholas, 89, of Lakewood Manor, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 21, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Holman Nicholas; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her brother, Grayson H. Alvis of Rockville; and numerous, loving family members; one special friend, Betty Leap. Mrs. Nicholas was retired from DMV. The family will receive friends Monday, April 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Oilville, Va.
