Grubbs
Ruth Vernon Johnson Grubbs, 88, of Goochland passed away on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie C. Grubbs and son Robert Joseph Grubbs. She is survived by her grandson, Robby (R.J.) Grubbs and wife Sarah, and great grandchildren, Simone and Christian. She retired from the Commissioner of Revenue’s Office. She was a charter member of the Goochland Historical Society, President of the Goochland Cancer Board, a member of the American Cancer Society and Golden Ages at Perkins Baptist, a volunteer Reader and Tutor for Goochland and Byrd Elementary Schools, Secretary of the Friends of the Goochland Library, and the Othma Homemaker’s Club, and a member of the Goochland Women’s Club and Volunteer for Hadensville Fife Women’s Auxillary, and a Tour guide for Governor’s Mansion for 17 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and acting orgainist for many years. She was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, church and community. Remains rest at the Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. where family received friends on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 28 Cameron Street, Columbia, Va. Graveside services were held at Forest Grove Christian Church, 3885 Hadensville Fife Rd. Hadensville, Va. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to American Cancer Society.
Hauser
Robert Charles Hauser, age 59, of Crozier, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2009. He is survived by two brothers, Michael Lee and Fred Charles, a niece Michelle and a nephew Michael Jr. Many Aunts and Uncles, Geneva Cutter, Lorraine Gary, Bonnie Jean Custalow, Betty Jane Lane, Arlene Monroe, Cecil, Richard, Roy, Jimmy and Tom Hauser. Remains rest at Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. where the family received friends on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009. Funeral services were held at Bethel United Methodist Church, Oilville, Va., Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009. Graveside services were held in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Diabetes Association, Richmond, Va.
