Carter
Pearl Carter, 75, of Goochland, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009. Her remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland Va. Funeral notice later.
Haden
Minnie W. Haden, 87 of Goochland, died Oct. 22, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel D. Haden Jr., two sisters, Annie Lourie Fitch and Barbara June Clark. Survived by her son, Samuel D. Haden III. (Mary) and one grandson, Paul Haden. Two brothers, Nick and Buck Ware. She had one sister Miriam Tucker. Family received friends at the Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 Mizpah Christian Church, Fife, Va. Graveside services were held at Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Co. #4 Fire and Rescue or Mizpah Christian Church.
Harris
Jerry Roger Harris Sr., 60, of Goochland, departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009. He is survived by his devoted wife, Irmay Harris; six sons, Kevin (Diane), Terrell, Jerry Jr., Corey Lee, Wendell Sr., and Christopher Harris; and two daughters, Sue Courtney Franklin (Robert), and Brittany Harris; 11 grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters, one aunt, mother-in-law, and other relatives and friends. The family received friends at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. Funeral service were held Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Rev. Bruce Claiborne, officiated. Graveside services were held in church cemetery.
