Elijah B. “Bootsie/Eli” Goode Jr., 62, of Goochland, departed this life on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Goode; brothers, Douglas (Laverne), and Raymond Goode; sister, Pinky Funn (Aubrey); a devoted friend, Gertrude Carter; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 at First Antioch Baptist Church, Powhatan. Rev. Stevie Trent, eulogist. Graveside services were held in the church cemetery.
Twigg
Joan C. Twigg, 72, of Goochland, died Saturday, July 26, 2008. She is survived by her sons, Carl F. Twigg Jr. of King William, and Barry D. Twigg of Goochland; and her daughter, Amy C. Twigg of Goochland. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Christ Community Church, 1574 Mountain Road, Glen Allen.
