Anderson
Anderson, Angela Marie, 42, of Crozier, Va., went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2008. She was preceded in death by her father, Burley E. Turner of Oilville. She was an employee of the Virginia Correctional Center for Women. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Anderson; three children, Jerry Jr., Trayvon and Kelsey; mother, Rosa Turner; mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Hannah Anderson; three sisters, Lisa Gresham, Simone (Tyrone) Mealy, and Lakesha; one brother, Lorenzo; one sister-in-law, Nicole (Cornelius) Preston; three brothers-in-law, Curtis, Jeffery and Shaun; and grandmother, Emily Turner; five nieces, ten nephews, and four great-nieces. In addition to her immediate family, she has a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, among them, one devoted, Patricia Kenney. Remains rested at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. Her homegoing celebration was held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church, 994 Three Chopt Rd. in Manakin-Sabot. Rev. Brian Taylor officiated. Graveside services were held at Turner Family Cemetery.
Miller
Miller, Lenora F., 84, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord May 12, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Miller. She is survived by her children, Lewis Stratton (Juanita), Pete Stratton (Nancy) and Alice Lee Childress; stepchildren, Billy and Sandy Miller; grandchildren, Vince, Steve, Casie, Ronnie, Donnie, Dwayne, Jennifer, Benny, Dennis, Becky and Donna; 37 great-grandchildren and one on the way; niece, Sylvia Mitchell; dear friend, Alice Haskett; and devoted caregiver, Rosa McAdams. She was retired from American Tobacco Company with 35 years of service. She loved dancing, crocheting and Vaughan Monroe. The family received friends Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Bliley’s - Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., where funeral services were held Thursday, May 15, 2008. Graveside services were held at Westhampton Memorial Park. Turner
Turner, James A. “Johnnie,” of Goochland, Va., departed this life Wednesday, May 14, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Turner; and two brothers, Charles and Melvin Turner. He is survived by two daughters, Tanya Fields (Alonso), Tracy Sallie (Calvin); three grandchildren, Alonso Fields Jr., Talvin and Jada Sallie; a devoted mother, Lucy Turner; two sisters, Caroline Johnson (Forrest) of Fluvanna, Lelia Tolliver of Goochland; two brothers, Leon of Richmond, Stanley of Goochland; five aunts, Mrs. Margaret Young and Lenora Layne of Goochland, Ms. Lola Wilson of New York, Ms. Alice Sims of Delaware, Mrs. Lucille Craven of Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, two devoted, Harry and James Reid. Remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Ebeneezer Baptist Church. Rev. Bruce Claiborne officiated. Graveside services were held in the church cemetery.
Yoder
Yoder, Ken P., passed suddenly on May 7, 2008 at his home in Maidens, Va. He served the greater Richmond area in commercial and residential real estate for over 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Sandra. The memorial service was held at his home on Sunday, May 18, 2008.
