Frazier
Mary Jenkins Frazier, 89, of Goochland, the widow of Clarence “Arnold” Frazier, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Branson and her husband, Chris, and Peggy Taylor; her grandchildren, Christopher Branson Jr. and Ashton Branson; great-grandson, Colton Branson; a sister, Irene Davis; and a devoted and loving friend, Marie Flanders. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 in the Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel, 412 Washington Hwy., Ashland, where the family received friends one hour prior. Graveside services followed at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to West End Church of the Nazarene, 591 Broad Street Road, Manakin-Sabot, Va. 23103.
Pollard
Joe Ann T. Proffitt Pollard, 73, of Manakin Sabot, went to be with our Lord Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bryan Proffitt; and eight siblings. She is survived by her newlywed husband, Ray Pollard; one son, Warren Proffitt; one daughter, Sharon Lynn Bowman and her husband, Milton; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister and two brothers. She was a much loved bus driver for Goochland County for 40 years. She was a proud supporter and dedicated volunteer of the Gospel Chicken House, owned by her husband. She was also a faithful volunteer for the Sunday Morning Gospel radio program and Meals on Wheels. She was a longtime member of Dover Baptist Church in Manakin Sabot, where a memorial service was held for family and friends on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010. Everyone who knew her will miss her deeply.
