Departed this life March 6, 2007, Mrs. Betty Frances Smith Anderson, formerly of Goochland. She was preceded in death by mother, Alice S. Green; father, Edwin Scott; grandson, Hunter Anderson; and brothers, Edwin Jr. and Gregory Scott. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Preston Anderson; her son, Kevin Anderson; a grandson, Devin Anderson; two sisters, Phyllis Booker and Patricia Lee; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, among them, Queen Ellis, Lucille Houston, Mary Smith, Lois Mills and Richard Smith Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Kimberly Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Julia Hopkins, Lillian Harris, Ruth Anderson and Yvonne Scott; three brothers-in-law, Palmer Anderson, Tyrone Kenney and James Lee; three godchildren, Darlene Tinsley, Jacqueline Mason and Preston Harris; and other relatives and friends; among them, devoted, Eleanor Christian, Martha Hunt, Delores Wood and Margaret Pollard. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church, 7204 Bethlehem Road, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Angelo Chatmon, pastor, officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
