Alleged shooter in Goochland case is bonded out of jail

Media General News Service A Cumberland County man who is the only person arrested so far in a shootout in Goochland County last month that killed one man and wounded two others has been freed on bond. Henrico jail records show that Kwamane G. Davis, 21, was released Saturday morning less than 24 hours after a Goochland circuit court judge set a $100,000 bond for Davis, who is charged with first-degree murder and two other felonies. Judge denies bond for alleged shooter in Goochland slaying

Media General News Service A late-night party-turned-gunbattle in Goochland County left one of the alleged shooters behind bars without bond yesterday, charged with first-degree murder and firearms violations. But defense attorney Shannon Taylor said she will appeal the decision Friday to a higher court, and she believes Kwamane G. Murder suspect in custody
By Ken Odor The man wanted by the Goochland Sheriff’s Office for a Sunday morning shooting death is now in custody. Kwamane Gordon Davis, 21, turned himself in peacefully at the Goochland Sheriff’s office at 10:30 p.m. Monday night, said Goochland Sheriff James Agnew. He is being held in the Henrico County Jail pending a video arraignment scheduled for next Monday morning. Murder charges filed in Sunday morning shooting death

Kwamane Gordon Davis, 21, is wanted by the Goochland Sheriff’s Office for first degree murder after a Sunday morning shooting that left one man dead and two others injured. Originally from Columbia, Va., Davis may be in the Richmond area where he has family, said authorities. In addition to the murder charge, Davis faces charges of shooting in the commission of a felony and using a firearm while committing murder. One dead, two injured in Sunday morning shooting
Staff Reports A 24-year-old Goochland man has been killed and two others injured in an early morning shooting in western Goochland County. Shortly before 1 a.m. Goochland Sheriff’s Office received a call of multiple shots fired and two people on the ground at a location in the 3600 block of Hadensville-Fife Road, where a baby shower was being held. Dwayne Richard Hardy of Goochland was found dead at the scene, with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. Two other men also suffered gunshot wounds. Goochland County man arrested for assaulting his elderly mother
by Amy Condra John Edward Heinrich, 34, of Manakin-Sabot was arrested by Chesterfield County Police late this afternoon, according to the Goochland County Sheriff’s Office. After responding to a call for suspicious activity officers found Heinrich in an abandoned house in the Midlothian area of Chesterfield County, Goochland Deputy Sheriff Chad W. Manakin-Sabot man wanted for beating his elderly mother
Staff Reports John Edward Heinrich, 34, is wanted by the Goochland Sheriff’s Office for the beating of his elderly mother. The assault took place early Wednesday morning at the Goochland home of Heinrich’s mother. Henrich’s 73-year-old mother received serious injuries about the head and was transported by Goochland Fire and Rescue to VCU Medical Center. Goochland man charged with attempted murder

The Goochland Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call early Tuesday morning, April 13 from a woman who reported that her husband had fired a shot at her. New charges against Goochland County’s Pet Rescue Foundation

jodor@goochlandgazette.com Pet Rescue Foundation operator Annette Thompson of Hadensville faces new charges after 13 more complaints of animal neglect were filed against her earlier this month. Thompson had been scheduled to stand trial April 12 on the one remaining Class IV misdemeanor animal neglect charge facing her. After Thompson’s attorney Darvin Satterwhite asked for a continuance, a trial on the misdemeanor and the newly filed charges is now scheduled for May 24 in Goochland General District Court.
