A 24-year-old Goochland man has been killed and two others injured in an early morning shooting in western Goochland County.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Goochland Sheriff’s Office received a call of multiple shots fired and two people on the ground at a location in the 3600 block of Hadensville-Fife Road, where a baby shower was being held.

Two other men also suffered gunshot wounds.

A 23-year-old man was shot three times in the back and a 54-year-old man was shot once. Authorities said the older man appeared to have been hit by a stray bullet while sleeping in a vehicle. His wound was described as being in a “non-vital” area.”

Both men were taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment. They were not identified.

Hardy’s body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond.

The Sheriff’s Office said no other details were available and the investigation is ongoing.

How terrible for your community. I don’t understand how all of these men were shot at a baby shower. A heated argument perhaps. Good luck on the investigation. My heart goes out to the families.

Oh my god, this is crazy. A babyshower? How could something like this happen at a babyshower? Please keep us posted on the investigation, thanks.
