The Advanced Senior Art Students at Goochland High School held their annual senior art show at Art A la Carte, earlier this month.
The following awards were given: Best in Show – Candice Bryce for Black and White Photography; First Place – Stephen Joyce – sculpture; Second Place – Christa Baxter – oils on canvas; Third Place – Stephanie Green – printmaking; Honorable Mention – Tyler Fischer – black and white photography.
Thirteen students participated in this annual event.
Juror for the show was Gary Garbett, a Goochland resident, and an internationally known artist.
Also at the event, Blane Cope, director of the gallery, presented the “Roni E. Community Art Scholarship” to Bryce, who will be attending the Art Institute in Washington, D.C.
The scholarship is named for the late Roni Ecimovic, who died in car accident last year.
