Hampden-Sydney College senior Matthew Aaron Carter was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society for college men and women, on Sunday, March 20.
The Lambda Circle of ODK was established at Hampden-Sydney in 1924, and membership is a mark of highest distinction and honor. Selection of members is based on their influence as campus leaders to better campus life and to encourage high standards in all activities.
Matt serves on the Student Court, as an officer of the International Club, and as an Admissions Office tour guide (Garnet and Grey Society). He is a member of the honorary society Omicron Delta Epsilon (economics) and the Society of ‘91 leadership program and is active in intramurals. He was recognized for student leadership in the 2011 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
An economics and commerce major, he is a graduate of Goochland High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn A. Carter of Manakin Sabot.
