Del. Peter F. Farrell (R-Henrico) has announced two opportunities for residents of the 56th House District to connect with him during the early days of the 2012 General Assembly Session. Residents can share their views with Farrell by completing his 2012 Legislative Survey and are invited to participate in his upcoming telephone town hall on Monday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m.
“As a delegate, I am eager to learn the opinions of my constituents,” said Farrell. “I will be able to best serve the people of my district by going straight to the source. I believe the upcoming telephone hall will be mutually beneficial and educational for myself and my constituents”.
This year’s legislative survey covers many different issues of interest, including the economy, the budget, education, transportation, and uranium mining. If you did not have a chance to fill out the survey when it was sent to your house, it is available through Farrell’s web site at survey.delegatefarrell.com. Constituents without access to the internet may call the office at 804-698-1056 to request a paper copy of the survey.
On Jan. 23, Delegate Farrell will hold his first telephone town hall. Households will receive a call inviting them to join the town hall at approximately 7 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to provide direct feedback by using their keypads to answer poll questions and to ask Farrell questions about the current General Assembly Session.
To be sure your household is included in the town hall, please call the office at 698-1056 or send an email with your name, address, and phone number to DelPFarrell@house.va.gov.
“As the 2012 session continues, I look forward to hearing from many constituents through telephone town halls and legislative surveys,” said Farrell.
