A Cumberland County man who is the only person arrested so far in a shootout in Goochland County last month that killed one man and wounded two others has been freed on bond.
Henrico jail records show that Kwamane G. Davis, 21, was released Saturday morning less than 24 hours after a Goochland circuit court judge set a $100,000 bond for Davis, who is charged with first-degree murder and two other felonies.
Circuit Judge Timothy K. Sanner said at a hearing Friday that Davis is not to associate with gang members who may have precipitated a barrage of gunshots Sept. 12 at a Goochland home that had been the site earlier that night of a baby shower.
Davis has no previous criminal record but now faces a prelimiary hearing in December for the murder of Dwayne Hardy, 24.
