The marriage of Miss Heidi Walters, daughter of Dr Gordon (Mike) and Patti Walters, of Goochland; to Mr. Brian Yannetti, son of Mr. William and Marjorie Yannetti of Chesapeake, took place January 16, 2010 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, in Short Pump. Dr Walters officiated his daughter’s wedding.

The bride was escorted by her brother Mr. Michael Thor Walters, of New Mexico and given in marriage by her family.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Sarah Reese of Glen Allen. The bridesmaids were Ms. Marisa Yannetti, sister of the groom, of Chesapeake and Mrs. Alisa Kline, of Glen Allen. Junior bridesmaids were Haylie and Jenna Walters, nieces of the bride, of New Mexico. The flower girl was Ms. Giana Coleman, goddaughter of the groom, of Charlottesville.

Mr. Williams Yannetti was his son’s best man.  Groomsmen were Lt. Williams Davis, of Texas and Mr. David Dashiell, of Chesapeake. Ushers were Robert Reese, of Glen Allen and Scott Coleman of Charlottesville. 

The mistress of ceremonies was Sue McNulty, aunt of the bride.

The mistress of ceremonies also made the bride’s custom three-piece ball gown ensemble.  The fitted top of white bridal satin was embellished with pearl encrusted straps, along with a skirt with flared hem was white bridal satin.  The bride’s full length netted coat with bell sleeves and chapel hem was accented with hand appliquéd pieces of Alencon and Re-Embroidered lace.  The lace appliqués were accented with hand beading, seed pearls, and crystals. 

The bride is a graduate of Goochland High School and received a Bachelor in Public Relations and graduate studies of Non-profit Management from Virginia Commonwealth University.  She is currently employed by the City of Richmond.

The groom is a graduate of Great Bridge High School and Virginia Military Institute, where he earned a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is currently employed at Wiley|Wilson.

Following their honeymoon in St Lucia, the couple will reside in Glen Allen.
