Powell 50th Anniversary

Walter E. and Joyce C. Powell, of Goochland, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 28, 2007. After 30 years of service in the United States Air Force and traveling the world, Walter and the former Joyce Cox returned to their home state of Virginia in 1986. Walter, an ordained minister, worked at Beaumont Juvenile Correctional Center for almost 15 years. Walter and Joyce continue to love and serve The Lord through their prison ministry and helping others in need. The couple has four children, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
