Lindsey Erin Martin and Brandon Matthew Dewey were married on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the lovely Goochland home of the bride’s aunt and uncle Frances and Dana Ragland.

The lakeside ceremony was performed by Pastor Zack Zbinden.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Martin of Sandy Hook.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Dewey of Vallejo, Calif.

The bride’s father escorted the bride down the aisle.

Bridal attendants were maid of honor Christa Mattern of New York; Sarah Bickings of Williamsburg; Trisha Lewis, soon to be sister-in-law, of Roanoke; and Katrina Dewey of New Zealand, the groom’s sister.

Ella Mabel Nelson, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

Three groomsmen of California were best man Paul Bekowies, Adam McFarlin and Josiah Dewey, brother of the groom. Brandon Martin, the brother of the bride, was also a groomsman.

Bryce Martin, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Gill.

Wedding coordinators were Donna Pinnell-Martin, the bride’s aunt, and Mary Jo Barnes.

Guests enjoyed an outdoor garden reception that overlooked the lake.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otho Ragland Jr. of Goochland and the late Mrs. and Mrs. Robert Martin, formerly of Goochland.

She graduated with her B.A. in History and M.A. Ed. in Social Studies from the College of William & Mary.

She is employed by Williamsburg Public Schools.

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Dewey of Wyoming.

He graduated from Solano College with a liberal arts degree with a focus in Criminal Justice.

He is employed by the U.S. Navy as a rescue swimmer.

The couple honeymooned in Disney World and now reside in Virginia Beach.
